Maybe someday I will find the time to read this book. In the meantime, I have experienced an infinite number of first through an N number of chances. What I have found that works best for me, is I look at my resources and come up with plan and choose a direction to get to a goal. After I move into the opportunity, I look at the results and re-examine the decision. If it isn't working, I don't look at the first decision as being wrong, I make a new decision and move on. I look at the next decision not as a second chance but as part of the whole process on getting to where I want to go. In other words, there are no wrong answers, only information that helps you make the next decision better.
